At Home with Christian Louboutin

I can’t remember why I took these pictures, but I was reading an old issue of Lucky magazine and cover girl Zooey Deschanel said something that reminded me of, well, me.

“There’s this picture of me that I wish I could find,” she said. “I would buy these fluffy ‘50s prom dresses from the thrift stores and just put them on with a tiara and sit and type at my computer.”

While I’m not sitting around in a prom dress, my friends know that on any given visit to my apartment, I could be wearing a fur stole with my pajamas, a red lip at 3 a.m. for no apparent reason, sitting on the floor wearing a oversized Hanes t-shirt, white basic cotton socks and a Yeti coat, like I think I’m Jon Snow or something. Or typing sitting at my glass table with my Christian Louboutins propped up on the seat across from me. But usually, rushing to touch up my nails because I hate for them to be bare.

I think that’s what was happening here.

I was doing my nails before heading out and then realized this was a bloggable moment–probably making myself even later than I already was.

#CPTime. Or what did The Mindy Project’s Tamra call it? Caramel Princess Time?

I’m going to completely stand by decision because this polish is absolutely worth the money–thanks, Mom!

It’s gel-like in both it’s shine and duration. Without using a gel top coat, and the new Sally Hansen one is my new fave, the polish lasted for 2 weeks.

Two. Weeks.

Quite the feat when I take 30 minute showers, live without a dishwasher (#studio life, yo) and bang on a keyboard for the better part of the day. Not to mention, I can display it in my apartment like an objet d’art as Mr. Louboutin intended.
