Review: Clarins Multi-Blush Cream Blush in 02 Candy

Ah Clarins. We only have their skincare here, so I drool over their makeup all the time when my blogger friends talk about them. And also thank you to generous blogger friends that I get to try the Clarins Multi-Blush Cream Blush in Candy, which is a pink peach. I love blushes, cream or not, so this is right up my alley Thank you beautiful, you know who you are!

This cream blush looks quite small (4g), but comparatively, it is pretty much the same as my Lunasol cream blush (3.8g) and even Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge (3.7g). The Clarins Multi-Blush Cream Blush feels quite siliconey and while it looks rather pigmented, it goes on very sheer. You can see the swatch on my hand that this is a beautiful peachy pink / pinky peach whatever you want to call it, but once blended, the colour disappears against my skin.

This cream blush blends quite easily with fingers, but this shade needs to be piled on my cheeks before you notice something. After the first layer of application, I couldn’t see anything on my cheeks. A second layer, I could see a very light hint of colour. In the photo below, I have done about 4 layers of Candy on my cheeks and it’s still very subtle.

Good news is, you won’t be able to overdo this blush. Not ever! I have light skin (NC15-20) so perhaps this blush is more suitable for those with much paler skin. I don’t mind layering on the colour, and I love that it gives me the slightest hint of peach. I can apply this blush carelessly, and it’d be ok. So for me, this is a blush I’d be using when I’m in a hurry, and don’t have time to be careful with makeup.

Have you tried this blush before? Do you have the same experience with Candy?

xoxo Lily
