How to Make a Bloglovin Button in Picmonkey

Do you need a custom Bloglovin button for your blog but are struggling to find one? Well, you can create your own one using your own colours! You don’t need Photoshop or fancy design skills, just a little time. In this tutorial I’ll show you how you can use PicMonkey, a free online photo editor, to create your own button.

Before we start, think about how you want your button to look like. Round, square or rectangular? What colour? When you’re ready, go to PicMonkey and hover your mouse over the design button. A menu below it will appear where you can choose your document size. Click on custom.

Type in a size for your document. I chose 35 x 35 pixels. Click on Make it!

The PicMonkey editor will open. On the left is a menu where you can choose the colour of your canvas. If your blog background is white, then stick with white for your canvas. If your blog background is any other colour then check the transparent checkbox.

Now we can start making our button. On the left hand menu, click on Overlays (butterfly icon). Click on Geometric and choose a shape for your button. I’m using a circle.

1. After you have clicked the circle, it will appear on your artboard.
2. Click on it and move it over to your square, grab one of the handles and resize it to your desired size.
3. Now choose a colour for your button. I chose a blue shade.
4. Now we need to add a heart on top of our button. On the left hand menu, click on hearts and choose a heart icon of your choice. Again, drag it over to your circle and resize it. Remember you can always use your keyboard arrows to move it around.
5. Choose a colour for your heart. Colour 1 is the colour of the heart’s outline, and colour 2 is the colour of its fill.

Tip: if you want to zoom in, use your mouse’s scroll button.

Okay, I’m happy with my button so now I need to save it. Click on save on the top menu. Save it as a PNG to your computer. Easy!
