A Juki!

My husband secretly saved up and bought me a new machine last week…a Juki TL-2010Q. He’s the best…and I think he was sick of hearing me blab about it. ;)

I bought this machine mostly for quilting as it is straight stitch only. I still love my Bernina 440, but I also wanted something faster with a larger harp space, without going more computerized than what I already have. In my mind, more computerized = more can go wrong and more money to fix…as I’m finding out right now with my 440 (another story for another post!).

I noticed this is a popular machine amongst bloggers and youtubers…which means you can type Juki TL-2010Q into Google and there are hundreds of wonderful detailed reviews.

I’ll share more of my thoughts about it and how it compares with the Bernina 440 in a future post.

Did I mention it goes fast?! 1500 stitches per minute of pure awesomeness.

***Update!!! I must be hard on machines….I literally broke this machine within the first 2 days of me sewing with it! I started making a loud knocking noise towards the top of the machine, and wouldn’t stop even with the bobbin case out. We tried everything to figure it out…and eventually sent it back! The dealer said they have issues every once in awhile, so the best advice is to sew on it right out of the box….quilt with it, use the walking foot, and make sure it works perfectly while your still within the refund window. I have another one in the mail…crossing fingers I don’t break it! ***
