Shiseido Pureness Face Wash

I actually didn’t even know this existed until I spotted it at TJ Maxx. I picked it up because I have had good luck with Shiseido skin care in the past and was on the hunt for my new favorite face cleanser.

Pureness Cleansing Fluid is geared towards people with oily, combination (raises hand!) and normal skin types. It is supposed to gently cleanse. So, does it? Well, yes! First, if you are new you should know that my skin is sensitive. Products with high fragrance almost always break me out. This has a very subtle scent, and I can safely say after over a month of use that this hasn’t and won’t break me out or irritate my skin. Yay!

This stuff is supposed to be light and airy, and it really is. I use one pump to cleanse my face and neck. One pump creates a surprising amount of lather, which does feel really light and airy. My face feels really clean after use, but doesn’t end up tight and dry. I have not used this alone to remove makeup, but I honestly don’t trust any cleanser to remove my makeup. I prefer to use oil and then follow up with a regular cleanser.

I swim three days per week, and use this after being in the pool. This works well for cleaning without stripping my skin, and is effective of getting the chlorine off of my skin. This has become my go to cleanser lately, and I will for sure be repurchasing when I run out.
