Kiss Kiss Handmade Valentine's Day Cards

As part of Crate Paper's final Valentine presentation, CP Girls Jennifer Chapin, Melissa Phillips and Rebecca Luminarias are sharing four brand new handmade cards using the Crate Paper collection, Kiss Kiss. All are irresistibly cute and worth a pin!

.......

JENNIFER CHAPIN: I love all things vintage -- old cameras, globes, typewriters, you name it. While hunting at an antique shop, I came across some old paper goods which included this vintage bingo card. I thought it would be fun to incorporate this into a Valentine with the Kiss Kiss collection. I used the Kiss Kiss candy hearts resin brads to mark the squares on the diagonal and added a circular die cut heart in the center square. After popping the bingo card up on dimensional foam, I added some more floral die cuts, stitching, chipboard and sentiment stickers. The finished size is 5" x 7". I love how this turned out and have plans to send it off to my grandmother.

MELISSA PHILLIPS: Valentine crafting is right up there at the top of my most favorite thing to do. There's just something about hearts that always get me, and when they're covered in chunky, gold glitter, or made from lovely, gold foil, they are even more irresistible.

My card started with the large, gold foil, cardstock heart and the glittered arrow. Those are the two elements I knew I wanted to use on this Valentine card, and from there I just started building...from the top down. How's that for a bit backward? I also have loved the patterned paper I chose to use as my base, so knowing I wanted to use those three elements, the fun began, and I added in some pops of red, some flowers, and a bit of woodgrain with hearts, and I was instantly ready to assemble.

We saved these following two cards from Rebecca Luminarias' CHA project compilation. They'd been on display at the Crate Paper booth next to the Kiss Kiss collection. Both cards are beautifully crafted and are detail oriented–as expected. The mix of chipboard frames and the globe and heart is a favorite!
