Finished Poncho!

At last, the poncho is finished! It is large, rather warm for a cotton poncho, it is cozy, has a nice weight and because of it’s colour it will work with a lot of clothing. Made with Scheepjeswol Stonewashed yarn, colour black onyx. It is the perfect item for curling up into, sitting by the fireplace tonight!

Despite my plan to join the 2 parts sideways, I didn’t do it. I put them together with a few stitches to check what it looked like, and it was more like an unfinished sweater with half sleeves. Yes, making fitted pieces is not my cup of tea, but this was a little all too much. So I did attach them end-to-side and as you can see in the images, there’s two ways to wear it: with a point facing down, or with a straight edge.

Next week I’ll share the pattern for the last two rows of the square with you, the amount of yarn used, and the joining method. Also, pictures of me wearing the poncho will be included. But for now I am just so happy it’s finished and I can finally wear it!
