Pallas M-fix or Juno 2-fix?

Once the baby grows out of the infant car seat parents are confronted with one big question: Which one is next – Pallas M-fix or Juno 2-fix?

As a Group 1 seat, the Juno 2-fix specialises in the safety and comfort of children from approx. 9 months to 4 years (9-18 kg). It is particularly lightweight and is, therefore, ideal for being switched between vehicles. It is also designed with an air circulation system to help create a pleasant body temperature for your child.

As a 2-in-1 seat, the combination Pallas M-fix seat (Groups 1/2/3, approx. 9 months to 12 years, 9-36 kg) can be used for around 11 years. It meets the safety and comfort criteria of several groups. In Group 1 it protects the infant in a head-on collision in exactly the same way as the Juno 2-fix using a depth-adjustable safety cushion. When your child reaches the age of approx. 3 years, the Pallas M-fix can be converted in a few easy steps into the award-winning Group 2/3 seat known as the Solution M-fix. Other benefits offered by the Pallas M-fix include the patented, tilt-adjust headrest for safety while sleeping, and the adjustable lying position for extra comfort (in Group 1 only).
We generally advise against switching from a rear-facing Group 0 car seat (0-13kg, birth to approx. 18 months) to a forward-facing Group 1 seat (9-18 kg, approx. 9 months to 4 years) or to a combined Group 1/2/3 seat (9-36 kg, approx. 9 months to 12 years) prematurely. Even if your baby’s feet protrude outside the car seat or your baby can already sit, your child has not necessarily grown out of the seat. However, if your baby’s head is protruding above the top edge of the seat and your baby already weighs over 13kg, it is time to change the seat, as it no longer affords sufficient protection to the vulnerable neck and head area.
