Pine Brothers Softish Throat Drops {Review}

How has cold and flu season been treating your family? I don’t know about you, but I have seen so many people have been having a rough one! With coughs and dry throats it’s important for me to find a solution that works for the whole family and isn’t filled with scary ingredients!

Disclosure: I received complimentary products to facilitate my review. Regardless, all opinions are my own and those of my family.

Cold and flu season has definitely taken its toll and now that we’re living up North we’re experiencing different weather fluctuations, so being prepared is definitely important! Because I like to take a more natural approach to our health, I am not a big fan of “traditional” cough or throat drops because most of them contain medicine as well as a few other ingredients I try to avoid like artificial colors and sweeteners! That is why I appreciate Pine Brothers Softish Throat Drops and was thrilled for the opportunity to share another experience with them!

Pine Brothers has a great history. They have been soothing throats since 1870 and are made in the USA. The founder J. Herman Pine said something that I think shows the standards on which the company was founded,

Perhaps I won’t make much money out of this. But I can make people happy, and that’s more important than money.

What a great company philosophy and foundation!

Pine Brothers Review

For my review I received three varieties of Pine Brothers Softish Throat Drops: Cherry, Honey, and Lemon Citrus. Lemon Citrus was a new flavor for me since my last Pine Brothers review, so I was excited to try it!

The throat drops are referred to as “softish,” which I think is the perfect name and way to describe them. They are definitely not hard, but they’re also not as squishy or chewy as a gummy. To get the most out of the throat drops, they should be treated as a lozenge and not something to chew. I love soft texture because it is soothing without hurting my mouth, which is a great relief!

The throat drops and their flavor last quite a while! I, personally, enjoy all of the flavors including the new Lemon Citrus and feel none left a strange aftertaste. It’s important to note Pine Brothers Softish throats drops are recommended for ages three and over, and with anything, I recommend supervision. I feel much safer giving our children throat drops with a softer texture and am glad I have something to give them when they have dry throats, but I make sure I keep a close eye on them – even our oldest, which I think is always a good idea! Our kids definitely prefer the Cherry and my husband really enjoys the Lemon Citrus.

I am glad to have a safer alternative to cough drops that everyone in the family loves without the medicine and other harmful ingredients.

Pine Brothers Softish Throat Drops are available in Value Size bags and convenient pucks and are now available at Walgreens! You can view a full list of retailers that carry Pine Brothers or buy them online.
