It may have been 48 degrees when I woke up and I may have been pastier than the Pilsbury doughboy, but dammit I was wearing white to Saturday’s brunch come sunshine or hail. Thankfully, mother nature took pity on me and it turned into one of the most beautiful days we’ve had all year.

Saturday was slammed with back to back events and I knew the only way I’d make it through the day, appropriately dressed and covered for all occasions, was in a super chic dress. Unfortunately, my closet is a little bare when it comes to super cute, super short minis which is reason #42 why I’m so thankful we have a brick and mortar Rent the Runway in Georgetown. That bad boy has proven to be a sartorial life saver more than once over the last few months. I knew I wanted to spend the day in white even though there was a 98% chance my bottomless mimosas would find their way onto my lap. Thankfully, I made it through unscathed and unstained!

DS tip: Dress down an otherwise more formal dress by pairing it with a more casual jacket and/or a bootie.
