Bradenton Marauders Host Bark in the Park April 18th

Baseball buffs and their barking buddies can cheer for the Bradenton Marauders as the minor league team goes to bat for the benefit of dogs and cats in need during their first Bark in the Park of the 2015 season.

Combining philanthropy with Fido-themed fun, after the Marauders take on the Jupiter Hammerheads Rovers will have the chance to unleash their inner Babe Ruth when they run the bases.

Pet parents who can’t take their four-pawed pal to the April 18th game won’t be in the dog house, as the Marauders will also host Bark in the Park games on the following dates:

  • May 26th, when dogs in disguises will try to win prizes in a doggy costume contest before they watch their favorite team go up against the Daytona Tortugas.
  • June 27th is a date that could be a real game changer for dogs who need forever homes, as the game against the Brevard County Manatees features an Adoption Night theme.
  • on July 23rd sports fans with Fidos can celebrate National Hot Dog Day as the Marauders face the Dunedin Blue Jays.
  • on August 16th the team lets sports-loving Spots mark the dog days of summer with a doggie splash day and post-game running of the bases.

Regardless of which team is victorious on game day, the real winners of Bark in the Park games are the adoptable dogs and cats at the Humane Society of Manatee County, which will receive proceeds from the $2 Bark Badges.

Tickets: $6 – $8 for humans; $2 for a Bark Badge
