ETHNIC STYLE: Fashion Contamination
Fashion is increasingly rich in ethnic influences, from different cultures, which blend together to create special collections, full of meanings and traditions. A peaceful way, and a little utopian, to reiterate that there are no differences, but only different stories and that wars are useless. Fashion becomes a strip of land where you can still have fun and create different styles depending by the mood or fantasy. Analyzing also the aesthetic side, we can see how many amazing textiles can be found: embroidery, brocades, colored silks, gems applications... not to mention the colors! A rainbow of soft fabrics that, like a peacock, open into many facets of hypnotic color.
The evolution of fashion is also this. Sarees to wear with jeans, salwars that turn into beautiful evening dresses, harem pants to wear so urban...
It's no coincidence, in fact, that the Jakarta Fashion Week has become an unmissable event to find out how the Orient approaches to new trends - with increasingly influential designers such as Tex Saverio, Dian Pelanti and Albert Yanuar - and that even Chanel has decided to present in Dubai a collection inspired by the ethnic groups of those places.
La moda è sempre più ricca di contaminazioni etniche, provenienti da differenti culture, che si fondono assieme per creare collezioni speciali, cariche di significati e tradizioni. Un modo pacifico, e un po' utopico, per ribadire che non esistono differenze, ma solo storie diverse e che le guerre sono inutili. La moda diventa un lembo di terra dove ci si può ancora divertire e creare stili diversi a seconda dell'umore o della fantasia. Analizzando poi anche il lato più estetico, possiamo renderci conto di quanti tessuti incredibili si possano trovare: ricami, broccati, sete colorate, applicazioni di gemme... per non parlare dei colori! Un arcobaleno di morbide stoffe che, come un pavone, si aprono in mille sfaccettature cromatiche e ipnotiche.
L'evoluzione della moda è anche questo. Sari da indossare con i jeans, salwar che si trasformano in splendidi abiti da sera, pantaloni alla turca da portare in modo urban...
Non è un caso, infatti, che la Jakarta Fashion Week sia diventata un evento imperdibile per scoprire come l'oriente si approcci alle nuove tendenze - con stilisti sempre più influenti quali Tex Saverio, Dian Pelanti e Albert Yanuar - e che persino Chanel abbia deciso di presentare a Dubai una collezione ispirata proprio dalle etnie di quei luoghi.
