Acne Breakout

I’ve always liked to think I’m not a label whore but maybe I’m giving myself a bit too much credit after recently heading out the door in not 1 but 3 recent Acne purchases.

The Scandi favourite is one of those perfect labels to snap up in the sales, its elevated essentials and luxurious basics suddenly feeling much more accessible with X percent off and it’s one of the first brands I look for when the ‘sale now on’ e-mails start dropping into my inbox. I bought the Jensen boots and Canada scarf as a bit of a Christmas treat to myself and have been having bit of a love affair with them ever since.

Likewise, the white jeans were bought from the Selfridges sale back in the summer and are the only white jeans I think I’ll ever be able to get fully on board with. I did white skinnies a few years ago only to look back at photos of me and immediately swear I would never be so much as looking at a pair again. Unless you have the legs and stature of a baby gazelle, I think they’re best left to the professionals, meaning models and Liz Hurley back in the day. The rest of us need a bit more room and a relaxed fit hence why these are so spot on (much more forgiving on those stubborn inner thighs). White jeans in the middle of winter might not immediately make sense, but there’s only so many pairs of black skinnies a girl can wear before needing some light relief. And with a massive oversized sweater and fedora, the summer denim staple no longer feels out of place on London’s grey and chilly streets.
