30 Day Push-Up Challenge – Let’s Do This!
Alright, ladies! Remember our 30 Day Abs Challenge? Well, I’ve got a new one for you — a 30 Day Push-Up Challenge. I actually started yesterday, so I’m on day two and I can proudly say that busting out 5 push-ups in morning is a breeze…and not the “girl push-ups” on my knees…I’m talking real pushups! But, that was NOT the case 6 months ago. Nope, 6 months ago, I couldn’t even do ONE real push-up. It was pretty sad. But, I did my girl push-ups, and over time I was able to add one real push up into my sets…then two….then three, and now I can do a solid set of 10 without taking a break. I’m living proof that building strength is all about pushing yourself just a little bit further with every workout.. If you stay consistent, over time reaching new milestones is just inevitable!
When I saw this challenge on Pinterest (follow my Fitness board!), I was like hellz yeah! Let’s do this. Like many women, increasing my upper body strength has been the most challenging for me in my fitness journey. When I started, I was just really weak, and my progress has been much slower than my legs…but like The Little Engine That Could, I just keep on chugging along. One day, I’ll be able to do a chin-up…one day. Lol. What I love about these 30 day challenges is that they push you to do just a little bit more than you did the day before. Instead of focusing on the end goal of doing 40 push-ups (I can’t even imagine!), you just focus on the goal for the day.
