Well, what can I say, Amsterdam completely blew me away! I had sooooo much fun! Amsterdamers (and Scotlanders) are probably some of the friendliest people I ever came across.
Other thing I loved are open markets, Amsterdam is full of them and there you can find everything your heart desires.
And even though my knowledge of architecture is limited, I would`t be lying if I said I loved the architecture, especially those cute little traditional houses. Amsterdam radiates with such charm and vibrant spirit, one of my favorite things is just walking around town (or renting a bicycle)and soaking up the atmosphere, I feel that is the best way to get to know the city and all its beauties.
Another thing that blew me away are the canals, there`s just so many of them, I couldn`t stop taking photos because they`re all so special and romantic, especially at night.
Of course I have to mention the famous Red Light District, such extraordinary experience. Did you know there are over three hundred one room cabins rented by prostitutes? I think my friends and I stopped at about 50 cause we couldn`t find them no more haha. One of the craziest experiences of my life. We also visited couple of coffee shops (there is about 200 of them) where as you probably know is legal to smoke marijuana. That cracked me up everytime, so you`re allowed to smoke marijuana but lighting a cigarette or bringing food to a coffee shop is a big no no.
All in all, Amsterdam is an amazing city with even more amazing people, I am definitely going back soon!
