Water From The Well

Post processing is getting ridiculous. Aside from erasing blemishes and enhancing/adjusting lighting and colours, I now have to photoshop my newborn wrinkles. Yes, wrinkles it is. I don't know whether they're just fine lines caused by dehydration or if I finally have to accept that I - in fact - am getting old. Booohoo. Not that any of you would ever get to see them, ha ha. So, the other day I came home early from a forensics seminar and felt like dolling up. As I have a huge stash of unopened lenses safely stored in the back of my make-up drawer, I thought why not do a look.

You've already seen me review the EOS Briller in green. In all honesty, the green version doesn't compare at all to the most vibrant yet kinda natural-looking blue circle lenses I've ever had. I'm so in love with the EOS Briller in blue, I don't even know what to start raving about first.

Sure, they may have strangers stop and stare at you and have them asking whether you wear contacts or not, but this is the kind of circle lens I'd call 'non-fake'. Due to the uneven, frizzy rims they only add a slight enlargement effect, might be even better on Asian eyes and when paired with the right kind of make-up, I shouldn't have gone for black kohl on my waterline if I had wanted to make my eyes look bigger.

The colour layer of the lens is speckled with transparent dots, which supports a flawless blending from one's natural eye colour. That's why I'd recommend the blue and green lenses to people with, well, blue and green eyes. Brown-eyed babes might have better chances at flawless blending with the pink, violet and brown version, which - vice versa - might look a little odd and obviously fake on those with green and blue eyes unless you feature those shades anyway.

These are mucho comfortablos (don't pin me down on my Spanish, ...) despite the standard water content of about 38%. Usually lenses like these come with a higher water content, but they're extremely thin, a little tricky to put on, but one will get the hang of it eventually.

Feel free to snatch a pair or two from Maple Lens and don't forget to check out using my 15% off discount code 'fenuabeaute'. You're most welcome!
