Materials:

  • 1 Skein Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick ("Raspberry" colorway shown) Note: If you'd like to substitute yarn, just use a yarn that recommends a 9 mm hook)
  • N (9.0 mm) crochet hook
  • Tapestry Needle
  • Scissors

Sizing:

  • 8 inches wide
  • 22 inch circumference

Instructions:

Ch 14

Foundation Row: In the 5th chain from the hook, work (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in the same chain. Skip two chains and work (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in the same chain, skip the next two chains and work (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in the same chain, then one dc in the last chain.

Row 1: Ch 3 and turn. Work (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in each of the chain 2 spaces from the previous row (center of each V). Work a dc in the turning chain space.

Repeat row 1 until cowl measures 22 inches or desired length.

Finishing & Assembly:

Without breaking yarn, sandwich the two edges together and seam using either a slip stitch or a single crochet. Note: if you are having trouble getting your seam neat and even, try working a row of single crochet stitches before seaming. Weave in all ends and you're finished!
