Navy Days // Urban Outfitters Cardigan, Tobi Dress

Have you heard of Tobi? I've ordered several times from this website, but the quality is so hit or miss that it is a risk. I have some items that aren't wearable due to fit or size (most of their dresses are very short), while others have been items I wear all the time. Shipping is also fairly slow.

This navy swing dress is one that worked out.

I wore this outfit out to dinner with my boyfriend and his sister/her boyfriend. We went to Deer Almond which is a cute little spot in the Exchange District. I loved going there for lunch when I worked in the area but had never been for dinner. Turns out, dinner was more like tapa-style dishes. The only problem was that my boyfriend is vegetarian, and the one dish we thought was vegetarian turned out to have anchovies in the sauce. The kitchen made him a different dish, sans bacon, so it all worked out. If you ever find yourself here for dinner, don't miss the chocolate cake. It was probably the best dessert I've ever had.

Instead of bread, they give you chocolate chili popcorn to start. Yum. Of course I felt compelled to snap an instagram picture.

Afterward we went to the World Tour - Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival. It was a bit scary walking up the steep steps to the upper upper level of the Burton Cummings, but worth it for the films. I have a fear of skiing (and well, almost anything extreme. Except rollercoasters) so I was on the edge of my seat watching the various extreme skiing documentaries. It didn't help that again, we were on the upper upper level and I kept imagining it collapse. These fears aside, I really enjoyed all of the documentaries.
