The Red Jumpsuit // Unexpected Formal Wear

I don’t know what it is with me and minimalist cut out pieces by BCBG (like my recent black evening dress here ) for evening wear. When it comes to formal wear I love stepping out of the box a bit and looking for pieces you wouldn’t normally see and something that doesn’t blend into the crowd too much. Ahhh that moment of clarity when you find that one special piece. Like this perfect red jumpsuit with wide pant legs, a high front neckline and low cut out back. And how about that one special place! I never thought I would shoot an outfit in the middle of a fault line…I was kind of scared of earthquakes this whole time but we just had to shoot here! It looked like an alien landscape as I walked out there holding my pant cuffs out of the fine white dirt. John and I kept saying that it didn’t look real–which is a weird thought considering nature is as real as it gets. It’s sad that we have become so far separated from stuff like this that it looks crazy and out of the ordinary! So surreal and pretty! Have you guys ever seen something in nature that made your jaw drop?
