Shopping: Exploring Terrain's Bounty of Natural Goodness...

Have you nosed around Terrain? Anthropologie's sister brand is less about fashion and more about a very focused selection of nature-derived and inspired lifestyle goods. Terrain's aim is to merge the idea of house and garden and I believe they do a lovely job of filling that flowering, budding niche.

Locally sourced plants and artisan goods are what you should come seeking. Think: gorgeous dried floral wreaths, hand-poured peony-infused soy candles and hand-carved sustainably crafted cutting boards and you've got the idea.

There's a nod to flowers everywhere you look and the overall effect of the site is one of romance. Below are a few of my favorite little items from their online shop, perfect for Valentine's Day or just a sweet way to say "I love you" to friends, sisters, moms or even yourself.

Green thumb? Immerse yourself in their Greenhouse section where you'll find all you need to foster a love of gardening and growing your own flowers, herbs and food. On that note, why send cut flowers for Valentine's Day when you could send a potted plant that will last for as long as your recipient cares for it? I love the Raisin Pie Orchid myself. It even comes in a gorgeous urn.

Happy shopping & even happier gardening to you.
