7 Years of Blogging!

Look, a recent pic of me! Photo credit: Kassia Phoy
Hey guys! After a bit of a blogging hiatus I wanted to tip-toe my way back into the blogging world and share a couple of incredible milestones I recently reached.

First of all, today officially marks my 7 year anniversary of when I wrote my first blog entry here at From Head To Toe. This was back before there were a plethora of beauty and fashion blogs glittering up the internet, and I took the humble request of girl on a forum I posted makeup tips on to create my own space for sharing tutorials and reviews and I thought, "why not!"

Is it too late to say 'thank you' to that girl? You basically changed my entire life.

Since then I have gotten married, worked as a designer in 3 large companies, took a huge leap of faith and left my career for blogging and youtubing, starred in a webseries, moved to Los Angeles, got a puppy-child Oreo, and bought a house for the first time in my life. Holy frickin' moley would my life be different if I had just decided not to explore my new hobby of beauty after graduating university. I mean, I didn't even wear makeup until I was 21! I was too concerned with being hurt by my acne struggles and defiantly not wanting to be judged on looks alone. God works in mysterious ways and for me, that is opening my heart and mind to the incredible, beautiful, insecure, stereotyped, accepting, rejecting, exciting, insane, and enchanting world of beauty.

7 years later and I still get jazzed about a new lipstick. Seriously.

Second big milestone is that I hit 1 million subscribers on youtube. Again..... what? What? What? Is that even a real number? I am still in complete shock and disbelief to the point where it still hasn't really hit me yet. I spent so much time trying to push it away and ignore it because what if everything were to fall apart and 1M never happens? When my parents called to congratulate me that morning I couldn't help but shed tears along with them because I truly felt like they were proud of me.

I'm not really used to the whole talking about my accomplishments thing so I wanted to wrap up this blog post in saying how astoundingly grateful I am for how you have been there for me, reading and watching, as God has made this path for me. I would not have the blessing of sharing what I love if it were not for strengths far outside of my own ability and control. How can I take any credit?

For my blog readers who have stuck by me, know that I have been working on a huge blog relaunch and redesign as well as incorporating some new elements into my posts that I am nervous and excited to share with you guys.

I'd love to know in the comments if there are any particular types of posts that you love the most and would like to see more of, and keep checking in because I will be back to my regular blogging schedule soon!
