Palm Madness + House of Hackney (FROM THE RIGHT BANK)

I guess it all began with my wanting to put some sort of leaf (probably palm) pattern wallpaper in the laundry room. I was trying to decide on a pattern when I saw the Brazilliance installed in a showroom and was convinced that was the one.

Then I went off to London for spring break and I stopped in Liberty (like I do on every trip) and I saw this…..

WOW.

It’s from a new-to-me company called House of Hackney and boy, do I love what they’re doing.

There were other sofas, pillows and accessories and all of it unbelievably beautiful. Check out their site and you’ll see what I mean.

Anyway, seeing all these upholstered pieces made me think I may actually love the Brazilliance fabric more than the wallpaper. I mean, look at this chair from Carleton Varney.….

And remember the pillows on the cover of Lonny….

So my conundrum is I want to use both the paper and the fabric but I need to choose one or the other because we don’t want a 70′s/Golden Girls situation happening…..

Don’t get me wrong, this is spectacular and fabulous but my traditional house could not possibly handle it.

Decisions, decisions…..
