Atlantis Paradise Island Photo Diary 1

Hello everyone! I’m currently in Mexico fighting a loosing battle of finding reliable wifi. Tonight I struck gold in the corner of the lobby where it seems to be reciprocating somewhat okay? *types faster in the hopes of not jinxing oneself* I wanted to post the first segment of my two part photo diary from the Bahamas for you all. Erik and I woke up every morning at 5:45 AM to catch the beaming sunrise as well as waited patiently on the shore for the falling sunsets. It was spectacular really, I’ve never put this much effort into capturing such vivid content or even appreciating it for it’s beauty. Whenever I go on a work trip such as this, typically you’d find me in bed until 10am EARLIEST. Please don’t laugh at me.

While I was boarding my flight I suddenly realized that this was going to be my first trip to the bahamas, ever. I had visited Jamaica and the east coast of mexico but none of the bahamian isles. Nassau was to be the first and paradise is how it began. Atlantis Paradise Island brought me out to take pictures on their property, OF their property and experience their wonderful amenities of the season. From the food, to the water park attractions and the highly popular Dolphin Cay, we were spoiled to no end. Despite believing it was only for families, we stayed at the intimate Cove Resort which boasted a huge adult only pool that offering gambling tables, cabana service and a live DJ. There really is a fit for every type of person that visits. Even the older folks can enjoy the quieter and more relaxing section such as Marina Harbor.

One of our personal favorites of the trip was walking through The Dig aquarium which displayed sharks, sting-rays, crustacean and several kinds of fish. Every night we found ourselves moseying through right after dinner to see the glowing waters and colorful creatures. From time to time I would hear Erik whisper something under his breathe which come to find out was the name of the fish. Perks of having your degree in marine biology!

Well that’s all I’m going to touch on for this first blogpost, you’ll have to come back for the second one to read/see more! Really hope you enjoyed these pictures and please don’t hesitate to check out the Atlantis website if you’re itching for a tropical holiday. After all, we had a great time.
