We’ve all slipped back into the normal routine this week, with the kids going back to school on Monday. I was also back to work after a week and a half off, and whilst I enjoyed being home with the kids, and I definitely managed to get more done around the house than usual, I am also happy to be back to “normality”. I’m also into the final stretch of rehearsals for the Pantomime I am in – dress rehearsals are this weekend, and opening night is Thursday. It’s always very exciting to see the fruits of everyone’s labours coming together. Here are my pictures from this week:
We had a family outing to the theatre for the last day of the holidays, and went to see Shrek the Musical in Manchester. It was a great show, and we had a great view. Both kids were completely engrossed for the whole show.

I have a bit of a reputation at work for being the worst at getting the drinks in. I guess I just don’t get as thirsty as my workmates! Today was a quiet day in the office, and I was the only one in who wanted drinks from the machine. So I had to get my own drinks in. Twice!!! I took this picture to prove to my colleagues that I had actually done it!
Had to take this one to prove I really do get the drinks in at work sometimes! #365 006/365

It was a busy day today – I had to go straight from work to my consultants appointment (good news – he has approved me for gallbladder surgery – I just need to wait for the appointment to come through now) to rehearsal. I took my Mum to the consultant’s appointment with me, and she very kindly made me a sandwich to eat on the way, otherwise I’d have missed my tea!

There was a beautiful blue sky as I arrived to collect the kids from school this afternoon – I love days like this

My son is starting to get in to Lego in a big way. He bought a small kit with his pocket money last week, and he and I put it together this afternoon. I showed him the instructions and he found the right pieces for me. He is going to be doing these on his own in no time.

My daughter is now sensible enough to make a cup of tea all on her own (we have one of those one-cup hot water machines, which is much safer for her than using the kettle). My husband is always delighted when she makes him a cup of tea and brings it to him (even if she did spell a little bit on the tray!)
