Week 48. Week 48. Goodness me – only 4 more weeks to go before I’ve completed my whole “photo a day” project for 2014! I’m going to skirt right over the fact that that means it’s less than 4 weeks until Christmas. I’m one of those people who can only think about Christmas in December, although you will notice a couple of Christmas-y shots in my collection this week because I can only hide from it all for so long! Mind you, it’s so close to December I think I can probably get away with it, right? Here’s my selection of photos from this week:
We made the most of the winter sun today with a trip to the park.
A couple of months ago I shared a photo of my daughter in her Rapunzel wig. Today my son got his hands on it, and he looks even more weird as a blonde than she does!
My daughter brought home her Christmas craft from school today – her class each decorated a candle. It fits perfectly in one of my tea-light holders, so we lit it this evening.
My son brought his Christmas craft home this afternoon – a Christmas bauble with his photo that he’d decorated himself. Here it is with my daughter’s candle from yesterday.
I did some major decluttering my son’s bedroom today, clearing lots of old clothes out to go to the charity shop and putting away all the toys that were on the floor. Finally I did something I’ve been meaning to do for a while now, and detached the changing table from this chest of drawers.
This is a big change. This chest of drawers has had a changing mat on it for over 7 years, and now it’s just a plain old “big boy” chest of drawers for the first time since we bought it.
And yes, I know about the ripped wallpaper behind it. That’s what happens when you have a change mat within reach of a join in the wallpaper – 7 years of kids being changed there has resulted in it being gradually peeled away. I will find a poster to put over it at some point…
I had to travel to London today for a training course for work. I guess I should count my blessings that the course started at 10am rather than 9am, but this was still jolly early for me to be catching a train on my non-working day!
I took the kids to my Mum’s local playground just before lunch today, and we enjoyed having it completely to ourselves as there was no-one else there!
