The All Year Round Red.

You could definitely say that 2014 was the year I got in to red lipstick – although I’m not completely confident wearing it on an everyday basis, I love it as an occasional lip choice.

I was introduced to the Bobbi Brown Art Sticks (£19.50) earlier this year, I don’t really see them mentioned much but I definitely feel they deserve more attention. I actually should pick up some more shades because they really do have the most incredible finish. As you can see from the above, the pigment they offer is flawless. A deep colour with a hint of shine, but more of a matte, creamy result once on.
Application is a dream, I promise you – which means even I can slick on the colour and get it right without going through an entire bottle of makeup remove and a whole bag of cotton pads. I have to say they’re almost impossible to go wrong with.

The shade I’m wearing is Sunset Orange, the kind of cool cherry red with a slight hint of orange that makes teeth look like they’ve just been bleached. The kind of red that gives you that Snow White blush, making all eye colours pop. I can’t imagine anyone not suiting this hue, it’s utterly beautiful.

The pencil is literally like a giant pencil – hence the name Art Sticks. It comes with its own sharpener, and you actually get a good amount of usage from it in between sharpens.
These offer lip colour for the low maintenance girls; those who want to experiment with bright shades and daring pigment but without the mess or the fuss. The ‘sweep on and go’ result is ideal for me as I don’t have the patience to be fiddling around with lip liners and rolls of Andrex.

All in all, a gorgeous all year round red that will always have a place in my stash. What are your thoughts on the Art Sticks?
