Christmas at Our House!

I grew up always waking up in my own bed Christmas morning...and then quickly running down the stairs to tear open my presents. So starting the same tradition of staying home for Christmas with Hudson was something that was really important to me. Thankfully, our family goes along and all travels over to our house for the day!
I couldn't sleep on Christmas Eve because I was so dang excited for Hudson to wake up and open his presents. I haven't been this excited about Christmas since I was a kid...something about watching your own child's eyes light up when they come down the stairs is magical.
And Hudson's reaction didn't disappoint. He was shocked and excited to see all the presents under the tree. And it was basically the best day ever. Except my husband and I were ready to toss that choo-choo train out the window about 10 minutes in to the gift un-wrapping. Note to self: 2 year olds are not ready for battery powered trains. Between Hudson and Wrigley, that train was knocked over more times than I can count.
Hudson loved all of his toys and couldn't stop saying "Hudsey open presents!!!!" to anyone who would listen. He's the best.
Later in the afternoon everyone came back over to our house for more presents and Christmas dinner. Hudson had so much fun "helping" everyone open their gifts.
One of my favorite gifts....my farmhouse table! I promise an entire post dedicated to it...because it's that amazing.
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!
