Fendi SM Mall of Asia recently held an event launch for Fan di Fendi Blossom and I was lucky to score a special blogger invite. On that day, the luxury booth successfully brought the spring feels associated with its recent perfume. In a tropical country such as the Philippines, they made a feat by introducing the season and the festive mood it brings.

Japanese Goldfish Catching Game (Kingyo Sukui)

Even though the country is not blessed with those beautiful cherry blossom trees, I was still able to feel the celebratory atmosphere of sakura viewing or hanami. The Fan di Fendi team organized a game together with its launch of its newest perfume and I was very happy to participate. This popular game in Japan is called Kingyo Sukui.

During festivals, this booth is very common to see. The objective of the game is to successfully catch a goldfish to win it or the prize it represents. A participant is given a bowl and a small net scope which has a very thin paper over it. As long as the thin paper doesn’t break, one can continue trying to scoop a goldfish.

As the royal princess, I demand you, goldfish, to enter into my ladle!

Let’s just say the fish is an obedient subject.

Fan di Fendi Blossom: Perfume Review

Packaging

The perfume comes in a rectangular transparent bottle with the brand’s emblematic double F on the edges. It is topped with a clear square cap with an embossed Fendi name. Overall, it exudes simplicity, sophistication and elegance. I like that it is made of see-through glass which makes it easier for me to know how much of the fragrance is left. Seeing that light pink liquid inside is also a plus!

Scent

It was a surprise when I had my first whiff of this Fan di Fendi Blossom. I didn’t have high expectations before trying this product, but I was amazed at how it suited my preference. To be honest, I like mild, almost-not-there scent as I don’t want to be calling attention to myself with a reeking perfume. This lightly floral scent of fresh cherry blossom flowers during springtime is perfect for my delicate taste.

Price

Like any other luxury brand, Fan di Fendi Blossom doesn’t come cheap. It doesn’t mean that it costs an arm and a leg though. The perfume comes in 30, 50, and 75 ml bottles and priced at Php 2850, Php 3950, and Php 4800 respectively. Reasonable, I think!

Availability

Prior to the media launch, I didn’t notice any Fendi stores in my country. Now, I know why. I should have looked inside the department stores! Fan di Fendi Blossom eau de toilette, among other Fendi fragrances, are available at most SM Department Stores nationwide.

Verdict

I recommend Fan di Fendi Blossom for those people who want a youthful, fresh, and floral scent with a hint of sophistication. It comes from the luxury house of Fendi with an alluring packaging and reasonable price, so why not try?
