NYX Butter Glosses & Swatches

L-R: Créme Brulee, Eclair, Vanilla Cream Pie
NYX Butter Glosses, £5 each
It is without any hesitation at all that I can say I've found my holy grail lipglosses. I've always been intrigued by NYX products as so many American beauty bloggers have sung their praises but they hadn't been available on UK shores until very recently (NYX is now stocked in Next, although the only time I've been in - in Derby Westfield - the stand was a little bare to say the least). After finding the full range available online and seeing Essiebutton sporting Vanilla Cream Pie way back in November I finally took the plunge and ordered myself the very same shade. Safe to say I was so impressed with it I ordered two more - Créme Brulee, a gorgeous peach-leaning nude and a true bubblegum pink, Eclair.
Where to start with these? The colour range is something to behold and I'm sure I'll be branching out into getting a couple more. The formula is second-to-none, true to its name and very 'buttery' without being at all sticky, they last and last on the lips and have exactly the amount of pigmentation that I like. There's no shimmer to speak of so these can be used to complete even the most demure of make-up looks. They smell, according to NYX, of sugar cookies but it's not too overpowering at all and not the sort of thing you smell once it's on your lips. In that respect they're leaps and bounds ahead of my previous holy grail glosses from NARS which to me smell of meat and it lingers on the lips. Gross.
For £5 a pop these are budget and brilliant. I really cannot sing their praises enough.
Have you tried the NYX Butter Glosses?
