Self Seduction – Out With the Old

In my journey to self seduction I am starting fresh with a lot of different things. One of the things I am noticing the biggest difference from almost instantaneously is with cleaning out my closet! I put a lot of thought into what I want my wardrobe to look like, for the first time ever. Isn't that strange? I was buying articles of clothing on a whim, on impulse for how I felt at the moment, and not with a plan of action. I now know that I need more basics, less patterns, more neutrals and lots of accessories. By sticking with basics, I can dress them up or dress them down by how I accessorize them. This will also make getting dressed less daunting of a task. I can see more now of what is in my closet and I know the basics will be able to mix and match easily with each other.

I started with my workout clothes. I knew I needed more motivation when it came to getting fit, and what better way than by being excited over the wardrobe possibilities in that area? So, I figured out what I like, what suits ME and not what's trendy at the moment. Again, I realized basics would be important here too. I find with a lot of athletic wear, it actually looks too athletic for me! Because, who am I kidding? I'm not an athlete! I don't need or want to look like one. I realized I would rather just look fashionable and simply me. After I came up with a plan of what I want to wear, I began purging almost every single thing I had collected for working out in. I plan on donating it all to a women's cause, for sure.

Around this time though, I discovered an amazing company called Fabletics. I was blown away by their outfit offerings! It actually looked like what I had already envisioned myself wearing! This coming up with a plan thing is seriously working for me already! Anyway, Fabletics is a monthly subscription service where you pick out an outfit every month. This is perfect for me since I got rid of almost all of my workout wear! There was so much that I loved that it was rather difficult to just select one outfit...so I chose a couple more! And, I already qualify for a free outfit because they reward you with points for not only purchases, but also when you review the products on their site after purchasing and for referrals, of which I don't have just yet. With Fabletics I also discovered I can dress myself better for the days when I work from home since they have cute lounge type wear too. Here are a couple of things I have ordered from them so far:

Omemee Tank & Moro Short

SUVA RUN SHORT II & OULA TANK

I also wore one of my favorite new Fabletics outfits (Switch Back Tee with Dili Short and Sevan Sports Bra) for our ALS Ice Bucket Challenge!

These outfits are so ME! Plus they are good for my budget. And I am in love with the fabrics they use for everything! So soft! Anyway, this may or not be your style, but that's something you need to figure out by putting some thought into it and coming up with your own plan of attack!

Next up for consideration will be what I wear to photo shoots. That's always been a tough one for me since my job requires me to bend, roll on the floor, squat, and all kinds of odd physical things. I want to look polished but that's sometimes hard to do when I know there is the possibility of getting dirty. I'll keep you posted!

When was the last time you cleaned out your closet and took inventory
of what you really need or even really like?

Disclaimer
: I am not affiliated with Fabletics in any form or fashion, except for being a very satisfied customer! When I find something I like, I want to share it with the World! Make sure if you decide to sign up with them, that you understand it is a monthly subscription service. Please read the fine print, as I have seen complaints from people who failed to read what they were signing up for.
