Talk us through your daily hair care routine.
I wash my hair every other day so on a non-wash day, it's just a quick brush and a tidy up if it's got a bit manic overnight! If it needs a wash, I shampoo twice, condition with a mask or heavy conditioner as my locks are pretty dry, then use a heat protectant and serum before blowdrying and styling.
Do you ever use any DIY treatments on your locks?
I have tried a few, a couple of years back - olive oil, avocado...mayonnaise! But not really no, I tend to stick to tried and tested products.
Have you ever had a complete hair catastrophe?
When I was around 14, I dyed my hair dark brown. It ended up black...and I ended up in the hairdressers having it bleached and re-dyed mid brown. Nightmare!
What's your go-to lazy day hairstyle?
My hair is pretty high maintenance so it's rare I don't do anything to it. On holiday in hot countries I tend to wash, add some serum and leave it to air dry.
Straight, curly or wavy - which do you prefer?
I prefer a combination of straight and wavy - straight with a bend on the end as I like to put it! A kind of faux blowdry look.
What hair trend would you never never have the guts to follow?
Going short! I have spent yeaaaars growing my hair - it grows so slowly, so I just wouldn't have the guts to chop it off to above my shoulders again!
Whose hair are you loving right now?
I've always loved Blake Lively's hair. She just has the classic, beautiful blonde locks!
Whose hair aren't you crazy about at the moment?
I noticed the other day that Kylie Jenner cut her lovely locks off to shoulder length - it looks cool but I'm a long haired lover (can you tell?!).
What hair trend do you think has had its day and needs to retire gracefully?
I'm pretty open to anything - I still think some girls rock ombre, but what I hate to see is girls with the safe side parted, long layered hair. I've been guilty of it and it doesn't hurt to try new things out - even if it's just moving your parting!
What are your top tips for healthy tresses?
I've really learnt the value of a heat protectant over the last few years. You can use heat on your hair, but you've got to put that barrier there first!
