As much as we are addicted to shopping online, there is always the issue of size and fit, and the disappointment that comes with getting something in the mail that is all wrong for your body type. Size guides are minimally helpful, if at all. Unless you really know the brand you are buying, or you have the benefit of trying something on, you are largely ordering blind.

Until now, and Nordstrom. Nordstrom has solved this problem brilliantly, devising a “True Fit Size Finder” that tells you not only what size will fit you best in any item you explore, but also whether you should buy it, with a fairly detailed – and accurate! – sliding scale of considerations. Start by filling out a quick true fit profile in three steps (this is what you’ll see when you hop onto the True Fit page) and then let True Fit guide you as to what to order.

For example, if you are using True Fit, items are shown with a block of text indicating your “true fit” – i.e., proper size.

Or, an item may not be for you, in which case True Fit will tell you that, as well as explain why.

As long as you are signed into your Nordstrom account (it takes just a few minutes to make a profile, and you likely already have if you’ve ever ordered anything from Nordstrom online), your True Fit information is saved and will populate with each item you click on.

We’re obsessed. And we would expect nothing less from our favorite department store. Monday shopping just got a little bit better.
