Make-up Mayhem Monday- My Beauty Secrets are out!
Got the Monday blues? Not any more! I am starting a beauty series on my page called Make-up Mayhem Monday (MMM). Every Monday, I will be posting my beauty secrets, techniques, beauty faves, and reviews!
Ahhh, the secret is out! Sharing my top secret ingredients to a flawless face. If I had a nickel every time time someone asked me about the products I used, I would have a very heavy bag! I am finally sharing my top beauty faves that I will always have on my beauty counter until death do us part.
1. Urban Decay’s optical Blurr*- I love this brush for everyday use! It's fast, easy to use and no fuss! I get a flawless airbrushed look everytime! 2. GA Luminous Silk Foundation*- WOW! Just wow is what you will be saying after you try this foundation. I love trying different foundations, and over the years I have probably tried almost all the foundations in sephora and mac. But this foundation beats them all and is my holy grail. I have acne prone oily skin, so when I first saw this product, I saw luminous and stayed away. I didn’t want to add any more shine to my already oily skin. But after I saw amreezy on instagram rave about it, I gave it a shot. I am obsessed! I am in the shade 7.5.
This foundation is light weight, not oily, and gives you a natural healthy glow. This foundation gives my skin the illusion of flawless skin. It is buildable and not at all cakey. After using this foundation, I have had tons of compliments on my skin, even during that time of the month. This foundation is on the pricey side, so I don’t use it every single day. I will switch between this one and Benefits Oxygen foundation, which is up there with my GA foundation. Give the GA a try or get a sample from sephora! You will be WOW’ed.
3. Beauty Blender- For events or a night out and I have time to go through the fuss, I love using my beauty blender for the airbrush look that will stay on all night. The water acts as glue to your skin, so the foundation stays put even after a night of dancing! I stifle it on to my face until I get that glowing fresh face effect. 4. Body Shop Slanted Kabuki Brush- I purchased this 2 weeks ago for $5 (original price is $28)(scoooore) and I have been obsessed with it since. This brush is very versatile because it is angled, you can contour, apply bronzer or blush. I use this to buff in my face powder to set my foundation. It is dense enough to get rid of any brush marks left on my face from applying foundation and gives the perfect finishing touch! 5. MUFE Pro-Finish Powder*- I used MAC’s studio fix powder for years and I love it (still do) because it gives a nice matte finish but it is a bit heavy(can get cakey and don’t recommend for every day use). When I tried the MUFE powder, I loved the matte and long lasting finish, and best of all is that it is very light and not cakey at all. Like foundations, I have tried MANY powders to set my foundation and so far this with my GA foundation is the best combo. (Shade 155) 6. Benefit’s They’re Real Mascara*- This mascara will have people wondering – are they real? Forreals! I get asked about my eyelashes on a daily basis and even though I am a big believer of drug store brand mascaras (instead of spending $30 a pop), this high-end mascara is always in my make up bag. 7. Studio Fix Concealer- Holy mother of G--, this concealer covers anything and everything! I use the shade NC-35(a couple of shades lighter than my skin tone), to high light under my eye, chin and forehead. Instantly brightens my face and covers those dark spots. 8. MAC Blush in Blunt*- I don’t know why this is a blush because it is probably way to dark for any shade. I use this to contours my cheekbones and sides of my forehead for that slim contoured look. BEST contour color for those who have medium skin tones! Another one of my holy grails that I use every single day! Abs. love this for contouring! 9. ELF angled blush brush*- I use this to apply by MAC blush in blunt. This brush is the best $3 I have spent thus far. I recommend EVERYONE to go buy this particular brush because it is perfect for contouring or even applying blush. It doesn’t shed and applies just the right amount and you are able to blend very well with this brush. I have a couple of these and the quality is just so amazing! 10. NARS Blush in Deep Throat- Yes, I love orgasm too, but sometimes you don’t want to have the same cheek color as everyone and their mother. This color is perfect for almost any skin shade like orgasm and but it isn’t too glittery like orgasm. It is light pinky/peachy color and wearable for everyday.
11. Mac prep and prime illuminating highlighter (medium)- I apply this under my eye and down my nose bridge, on top of my concealer. If you haven’t tried this, try it! I don’t apply this every day but when I want an extra highlight/contour effect, this does the trick. xx Mars
