Hey guys! I know
technically we are into Week 2, but I promise I finished this project during Week 1. Scouts honor! I just didn't get time to blog about it. However, I
did post about it on my
Project 52 Facebook page. I would love for you to follow along and post any projects that you are working on too. I will update the Facebook page regularly {and on time} and it would be so great to have you along for the journey!
For my first Project 52, I decided to make a cute little pouch using my new lace zippers {if you missed the post introducing Project 52, catch it
here}.
I have never made a pouch before; I usually am making things for my kiddos to wear. So it was really nice to make something so easy and something for myself. It's been awhile since I've done that.
I used a fabulous tutorial from
The Homemakery and it was very well explained with great pictures. I am probably going to use this as a jewelry pouch when I travel but could also be a makeup bag, pencil case, or a cute bag to store your sewing essentials.
This was also my first time using these lace zippers and they were a breeze to learn. I love the details on them and can't wait to use them for a dress or top.
Overall: good start to 2015!
