1. What is your blog about?
Ultimately it’s a fashion/style/travel blog that focuses on clean lines, minimalism, less is more and being eternally chic. And that goes for all aspects of our lives.
2. When did you start blogging?
Around June 2013 I was finding cool items and writing about them. I never did street style till December 2013.
3. What do you like about blogging?
Gosh, I love being able to be myself – It’s so freeing! I also enjoy that it’s a great platform that allows me to share my passions with like-minded people.
4. Why did you decide to start a blog?
People would always ask me “where did you get that?” from the clothes/jewelry I was wearing to pieces in my home. That’s when I had an “Ah-ha” moment. People had for years been commenting on my style & I had been looking to do something online, I just had no idea it would be a blog. It just sort of happened.
5. How did you choose your blog’s title?
I put two names together that I liked and felt represented my ethos well. A curated collection of cool stuff. Hence Curated Cool.
6. Which blogging platform do you use? Why?
I use WordPress, cause everyone said “Use WordPress!” I had no idea what I was doing. I just jumped in headfirst.
7. What is the biggest challenge when it comes to blogging?
For me it’s time management and being consistent. Especially as I do all of my social medias, so I want to be proactive and do it well. I never put up content that doesn’t look good.
8. Do you monetize your blog?
Yes.
9. What are your biggest blogging achievements?
Getting to work with The Hong Kong Tourism board when my blog was brand new was huge for me. Funnily they had no idea I was born & raised in Hong Kong when they approached me on twitter. I had been referred through a friend. Also being picked by ifabbo as blogger of the week, and now blogger of the month is way too cool! And was picked by Lucky magazine 2 weeks ago as their favorite looks of the week as well.
10. What is the worst blogging mistake you ever made?
I don’t think I have made any yet. I have treated this as a business from day one. Never as a passion project or hobby. If I have let me know!
11. What are your favorite blogs?
Garancedore.fr Garance is Scott Schuman’s (the Satoralist) girlfriend, and muse. She’s French, chic, and has an amazing eye.
12. What type of camera do you use?
Canon 5D Mark iii – That’s what my photographer CurtyPhotography.com uses.
13. What is one thing most people don’t know about you?
That I got blessed by the Dalai Lama in India. That was pretty amazing.
14. Who is the one person you’d like to meet?
Kate Moss.
15. What is your day job?
I do voice overs, and blog.
16. If you could describe your personal style in one word or phrase, what would that be?
Clean, minimal, unfussy, modern chic.
17. Whose style inspires you?
The European mindset as a style inspires me. They care less and have more fun.
18. What is your MUST HAVE beauty or fashion item?
Lip balm and stilettos.
19. Tell us the story about how you became an iFabbo member:
Through another blogger. I was like, Oh this looks cool. Loved the site and the community.
20. What is your favorite thing about being an iFabbo member?
Great community, and I can’t wait to attend one of your events. People really care and the interviews are awesome. I have learned so much.
