rubik's meets a chinese poem meets lasercutting meets woodblock printing

yu-hsiang "shaun" chung, a parsons student made this "movable type cube" back in 2010.
if you solve the rubik's cube you can read “three character classic,” a traditional chinese text that teaches young children to be a good person in the society. :) well, actually you can't, i guess, because the now assembled cube can be used for stamping on paper or other surfaces and then you can read the poem on the surface.
so you have to be able to read chinese backwards if you want to solve the cube correctly, but, i think that makes is all the more interesting.

nos, ez egy rubikkocka, amelyen lézervágott kínai betűk találhatóak, és ha rendesen kirakjuk a kockát, akkor egy kis kínai oktatóversikét olvashatunk rajta, amely kis kínaiakat (értsd: gyerekeket) tanít a jóságra...
illetve mégsem pontosan így van, mert a versike akkor olvasható egy felületen, ha pecsételőként használjuk a kockát.
szóval oda-vissza ismernünk kell a kínai nyelvet, hogy ki tudjuk rakni, de szerintem ez csak még érdekesebbé teszi a dolgot.
