the imagine gnats contributors team is growing!

I’m excited to announce the imagine gnats contributors team is expanding to include six new amazingly talented sewists! it has been so much fun seeing the contributor tutorials and projects, and I can’t wait to show you what great posts we have in the works for you. a bit more about the new contributors:

Ajaire of Call Ajaire:

she knits, she embroiders, she sews… Ajaire is always making, and her site is full of creativity and inspiration.

as a contestant on Project Run & Play, Ajaire made some wow outfits for her 3yo daughter, like this make your own fabric dress where she used up the tiniest of scraps to make something awesome! you can read more about Ajaire, her family, and where she finds inspiration here on her blog.

April of Modern Handmade:

April incorporates vintage-inspired elements in the garments she sews for her children, herself, and her husband, and is inspired by styles of the past.

I love this vintage inspired dress that she made recently (for a sew-along that Ajaire co-hosted, even!), and her lucky daughter got this beautiful dress for her fourth birthday. you can read more about April’s journey into sewing here on her blog.

Giuseppe, aka giucy_giuce:

the one thing you need to know about G is that he is a master at pairing fabrics. he creates colorful quilts and patchwork projects that pop!

I’m excited to be a part of G’s first foray into blogging, and seriously just cannot wait to see what quilty fabulousness comes from this talented guy. if you’re not already, find him here on instagram and follow along. be warned: prepare to want to buy ALL the fabrics :)

Jenelle of Echinops & Aster:

i’ve followed Jenelle’s blog for nearly as long as I’ve written my own, and she is always sharing something new that catches my eye.

she creates quilts, embroidery, and also finds really beautiful ways to combine them, like this embroidered cushion that is an all-time favorite of mine. you can see all of her tutorials and tips here, including both quilting and blogging how-tos.

Meg of Cookin’ & Craftin’:

I first “met” Meg through her profile on Kollabora, where she shares the amazing clothing she sews for herself and her family and friends.

Meg shares all of her creations on her blog as well, and really what I love about her projects is how she pays attention to small details (like the pattern matching in this emery dress) in a way that gives her clothing a really finished look, like she’s wearing stuff she bought from the coolest store ever ;) I can’t wait to see what she she shares with us here.

Teresa of Dandelion Drift:

Teresa loves to fill her free time with making, and aren’t we all glad that she shares it with us on her blog?

you can see here how she modified an “ugly duckling” pattern into a gorgeous dress, and you just might recognize this skirt from a certain pattern of mine! don’t miss these tutorials from Teresa, and stay tuned to see what goodness she brings to the imagine gnats blog.

a huge thank you to all of you – contributors, readers, friends – for being a part of this adventure.

really, some five years ago when I started this blog, I could not have imagined how it would grow and change and become “what I do”. I really love being here… getting to work with all of these amazing friends and to hang out in this fabulous community with you every day is truly the greatest. and it wouldn’t be any fun at all without YOU. thank you!

happy stitching!
