My Saturday | A Photo An Hour

I am excited to link up with Steph and Meg O for their A Photo an Hour link up. I decided to do mine on Saturday because it was a busy day with so many things happening. Taking photos each hour was a lot harder than I thought it would be, especially because I am not always good at keeping track of time. But I successfully captured a day in the life of Ashley. I know you are excited to see what I was up to all day Saturday so here you are.
7:00- Michael had a friend come stay the weekend with us and like the smart men that they are, they decided to make an appointment to get a window fixed at 8:00 in the morning. Being the responsible adult I am, I went to bed at a reasonable hour so I had no trouble getting up at 7:00 to snuggle with Tilly and then let her wake the boys up. The boys were a completely different story. Had to do black and white because you do NOT want to see my morning face.
8:00- After FINALLY getting the boys out of bed, we headed into town to get the window fixed and pick up the best breakfast tacos I may have ever eaten. I don't usually trust restaurants on wheels but this place is an exception.
9:00- After our breakfast tacos were devoured, I sent the boys back to bed so I could have some blogging time. I got our link up all ready to go and my post scheduled as well. I work better in the mornings which is a good thing since I am a teacher I suppose.
10:00- Running behind as always, I was finishing wrapping up the gift for the baby shower I was headed to near my hometown. I am definitely not the best wrapper or rapper so I am thankful for tulle and big bows.
11:00- On my way to Houston for the baby shower of my big sister in my sorority. The drive is about 2 and a half hours so I wasn't sure how this whole picture thing was going to go. Sorry in advance for the abundance of selfies. What other choice did I have?
12:00- I officially passed my regular Sonic stop on my way home and stuck with my ice water. I think I can officially call myself a grown up...surely that counts. This was also the point that I wish I hadn't drank so much of the so called water from my cup.
1:00- Getting closer and closer, plus I passed up a super Target and didn't even have second thoughts about stopping in for a quick visit. Ok, yes I did, in fact I planned my route home to go back past that Target but it ended up being too late to stop on my way home. My bank account thanks me.
2:00- YAY for baby Marlee and her sweet mom Vanessa. I was so happy to get to see friends I hadn't seen in too long, and love on sweet baby Marlee who is due in April. Does she not look amazing for being that far along?
3:00- At this particular point in the party, I was having intense baby fever...or maybe it was pregnancy fever. Babies and pregnancies are just such a miracle that makes me smile my biggest smile. I will be excited when my time comes to get to experience it first hand but until this I am thankful for my friends who let me rub on their bellies. (in a non awkward way).
4:00- Said goodbye to these ladies who were all part of my sorority. Yes that's me with the dark hair on the end in the big dress. Texas finally got the memo that I am over this winter weather and want to wear my dresses again.
5:00- I went to meet up with my grandparents so that I could go to church with them. There is truly nothing that brings me greater joy than sitting in their home talking and catching up with them.

6:00- We were in church. I don't necessarily think that the priest would have liked me taking pictures of him during the sermon so I skipped 6:00.

7:00- After church Grandmom and Granddad took me to one of their favorite restaurants near their home. I had the best tacos there ever was and the salsa was amazing. My favorite part though was getting to sit and chat with them throughout the whole meal.
8:00- A little dateline is always a must when I go to visit them. This was after they were trying to explain to me one of their new favorite shows where "people don't really like their house so this woman comes in to fix it and this man is trying to make them move out of their house" also known as Love it or List it.
9:00- I was heading home and my beautiful friend was keeping me company. I know I shouldn't text and drive but I promise I was very careful. So thankful for someone who understands my mind like no one else.
10:00- Oh hey, just me, still are the road. My sister was sending me snap chats and sent me one of an up close of her eyes and said "they are green today" pretty much rubbing it in my face that she got the better end of the eye gene pool while I'm stuck with my little brown eyes that stay the same shade of brown at all times.
11:00- FINALLY home and snuggled in bed with my two favorite people in the world. Yes, if you look closely Tilly is snuggled up, on MY pillow, snoring pretty loudly.
And there you have it. An exciting day of a girl who lives too far from family and friends and has to spend most of her day driving around to get to spend time with people I love. Story of my life...but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I hope you all have a great Wednesday. Happy Thursday Eve!
