Happy Presidents’ Day! Maybe you’re enjoying a day off or enjoying a day at work where it is warmer than 5 degrees. I’m enjoying neither of those things. I’m at work at an all day meeting thing and it’s freeeeeezing. Eff you winter. But here’s what is with me and I’m currently up to…

Watching… Scandal. It’s back and it’s freaking ridiculous and I love it. Duh.

Reading… I just finished reading Me Before You by Jojo Moyes. I really enjoyed the book, but didn’t quite get some of the critical acclaim of it. Maybe it’s not “critically acclaimed” but I thought it would be more amazing than it was from the buzz I heard about it. It was an enjoyable book and I couldn’t put it down. But some of the plot seemed a little trite and unsurprising. I would recommend it but don’t expect it to be jaw-dropping literature. I just started reading The Interestings by Meg Wolitzer and am not far enough into it to have made an opinion yet ha.

Eating… Candy. I am conflicted with all the blowing up on social media of people’s Valentine’s Day gifts/celebrations. Jarrod and I had a great V-Day but I didn’t feel the need to show off what we got each other. I appreciate people wanting to share their love on Facebook etc but I didn’t feel the need. Though I will say that Jarrod got me a fabulous array of candy and I ate the best thing ever on Saturday (go see it in all its glory on my Instagram).

Saving… For the new house and all the million new things we’ll need to buy.

Craving… Spring. Yes, I know I live in a cold weather state, but I’m over it. It’s dumb. I want it to be spring or at least be 40 degrees.

Wearing… These ankle boots constantly. Love them.

Exercising… In pointe shoes. In the fall, I slacked on going to ballet but I’m back to it and love wearing my pretty pretty pointe shoes.

Feeling… Impressed at my recent lack of plant killing. I got a few more little plants from Ikea and I’m happy to say they are still alive!

Anticipating… Phantom of the Opera this weekend. I love musicals and Phantom is my absolute favorite. My mother in law got us tickets for Christmas and I can’t wait.

Trying… New recipes for my carnivore husband. I’ve been trying to cook more so that we save money and both eat healthier. I made a pork loin in the crock pot for Jarrod yesterday and it was win/win. Easy for me and tasty for him.

Loving… Online window shopping and dreaming about ways to decorate a new house. Can’t wait!
