REVIEW: Balmain Styling For Hair Couture

The first product in this beautiful box is the Balmain Session Spray in Strong.
Balmain Session Spray – Strong
Have you ever had a hairspray that smelled better than your perfume? I haven’t. I’m an Elnett kinda girl. I’ve always liked that hairspray, but the smell is horrible (that typical hairspray smell). Until now! This Session Spray is perfect for controlling, fixating and adding shine.
Used on this braid to add body to the hair (teasing) and for hold.
The smell is yummy
Strong hold, it keeps my hair more in place than Elnett hairspray
Shine, it gives your hair a gorgeous shine! I like this particularly when I want that Kim Kardashian kind of ponytail/braid where the front needs to be shiny and flat.
- Because of the strong hold, I wouldn’t recommend using this when you’re wearing your hair down. But you might fix this by spraying from a distance.
Overall: a must-have hairspray if you want to have that Kim Kardashian kind of ponytail or braid that needs a strong hold and if you like to smell delicious (don’t we all?)
Balmain Silk Perfume.
Perfume for the hair…yes it exist! But it’s more than that. Balmain uses this backstage on all the models during the show! It’s formulated so it leaves a silk finish because of the argan oil in it. (Balmain uses a lot of argan oil in their products, which is amazing!) This also helps with detangling your hair and due to the argan oil it repairs damaged hair. if I can recommend one product of this box, it’s this one! Because it’s an all-in-one. It adds shine, repairs damaged hair, detangles hair and it’s a perfume. Believe me, when I use this I don’t use other perfumes because it’s the best smell ever and you won’t be needing anything else. I got so many compliments on this perfume in the past month.
The smell is better than any of my perfumes.
It leaves a shine to my hair without leaving it greasy.
Overall: a perfect product if you want something that covers different problem areas!
Balmain Texturizing Salt Spray.
As you all know, I love that boho/ibiza look! If you want to rock that ibiza kind of look, you should have beach hair. I truly love beach hair during the summer (even though I never go to the beach, but who cares). So when I saw that Balmain created a texturizing salt spray, I was over the moon! It gives your hair body, adds definition and texture (hence the name) with flexible hold. I’ve used this product a lot in the past month because I don’t really had the time to curl my hair and this is the perfect product for fixing ‘bad-hair-days’.

It gives texture to the hair without drying out the hair (very unique in a salt spray!)
Gives body to the hair (perfect for a bad hair), this can be seen in the pictures above (no teasing used!).
- The product has ‘flexible hold’, which means you need to push volume back in your hair every now and then.
Overall: a unique product because it gives that beachy look without damaging your hair (salt sprays tend to damage the hair). Must have if you have bad hair days and no time to wash it!
Balmain Argan Moisturizing Elixir
Damaged hair, it breaks my heart (and hair). My hair is extremely damaged because of all the heat/blowdrying/curling/dying. The best solution is to cut like half of my hair off but we all know that’s not gonna happen! So what to do? Well the only thing that really helps fixing my dead ends is the use of oils. I use coconut oil since I was little, but I’ve heard a million positive things about argan oil. So when I started using this product I couldn’t wait for the result. Well, I can tell you that it smells amazing with that typical luxurious Balmain smell and it really adds shine to my dead ends. Here’s a comparison with only a tiny little drop of the Argan Moisturizing Elixir on the one side and nothing on the other side.

Instant boots to your damaged hair
Does not make it greasy (very important!)
Overall: definitely a must for girls like me who damage their hair every single day with a curling iron, straightener or hair dye. My hair looks much healthier when I use this product.
These products are available online and in high-end hair salons. Note: the prices are much lower than other salon products! What’s not to love?
