SmoothSkin Gold (part 2)

Hello ladies, about a couple of weeks ago I introduced you to Helen aka Casual Beauty UK who is trialling the SmoothSkin Gold IPL device. As promised, here is Helen’s next part of the 12 week trial she is undergoing.

The advent of week three means that I am now a quarter of the way through the treatment to remove my unwanted facial hair with the SmoothSkin IPL.

As I mentioned in my first post, using the device is simple and treatment of my problem areas takes less than 5 minutes, so I have absolutely no complaints there.

The only annoying thing about my treatment is having to remove any hair growth with a razor in between treatments. The urge to get out the tweezers and start plucking those hairs out, is at times, too difficult to resist but I have to tell myself over and over again ‘short term pain for long term gain’ and so far it’s working.

I can’t say that I’ve noticed any real difference in the amount of hairs in my problem areas but then I’ve only completed my third treatment so I am expecting a substantial difference as the weeks progress.

I will say one thing: my initial hesitation to use the machine on areas of my face (other than my chin) has weakened and I did increase my treatment area last week to include my sideburns, upper lip and under arms. Hopefully, as well as a less hairy face, I will also end up with the super smooth movie star armpits which have always eluded me!
