Trend to Try: Colored Leather Dresses

Ditch your boring black LBDs this season for something a bit more colorful.

Winter is in full swing and we're officially over our wardrobe. We've had enough of our bulky boots and heavy coats, and it certainly doesn't help that we rely so much on drab colors this time of year. Just think about it: black boots, black bags, black coats and, of course, LBDs. Don't get us wrong, we adore those classic black styles, but when the sky is gray and the streets are slushy for several months straight, we could use a colorful pick-me-up from time to time.

Luckily, colored leather dresses are having a moment, and our color-deprived closet couldn't be more relieved. From ravishing reds to beautiful blues, colored versions of your favorite leather dresses are set to invade your winter wardrobe, and Hollywood's most stylish ladies are having a blast rocking this fun trend.

Zosia Mamet showed the Polar Vortex who's boss in a fiery red short-sleeved leather dress at the Girls season four premiere in NYC. She seriously committed to the look too, pairing her dress with matching lips and shoes.

Meanwhile, Julianne Hough gave the term "winter blues" a whole new meaning in a stunning cobalt leather mini dress with a gorgeous pleated-sleeve detail.

Emmy Rossum reminded us once again why she tops our style crush list in a demure gray sleeveless leather dress and black pumps.
