New Details About How Bruce Jenner Revealed His Transition to His Daughters

Reports have circulated that pretty much everyone in the Kardashian-Jenner clan quickly came around to accept Bruce Jenner‘s transition into a woman. Kim Kardashian even did a televised interview to express her family’s support for their father… But how did Bruce go about telling his daughters in the first place?

Us Weekly just released new details about the day — Jan. 19, the same day the photo above was snapped — that the former Olympian gathered Kim, Kourtney, Khloé, Kendall and Kylie together to reveal the news.

A source close to the family says things definitely “got a little emotional” but also added that “it wasn’t a jaw-dropping conversation.”

The insider continues, “He literally started the conversation with, ‘Hey guys, I’m becoming a woman, but I’m sure you probably already figured that out.'”

He also asked that the girls do two things: 1) Stop calling him Bruce and use the name he’s chosen for his female identity (which will be revealed during his interview with Diane Sawyer), and 2) Tell anyone who asks, “Bruce is in a very good and happy place.”

However, one question still remains: Will Bruce undergo sex reassignment surgery?

“That is such an elephant in the room,” another source said, adding, “But the girls are good with elephants… They don’t really want to know.”

The full conversation will air during episode 13 of the upcoming season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
