Guest Blogger Introduction: Beth

Hey! My name is Beth and I live in Southern Utah. Currently, I live with my hubby, my son, and my in laws! Lots of fun life events seem to keep happening to our little family that make us feel like this is all for a reason. We have a cute dog named Girl, yes - because she happens to be female. We also take care of my father in law's horse and 2 goats. I have an 8 year old son who is starting his foray into Cub Scouts and baseball and participates in several after school programs. My hubby works full time, as do I - though I work from home, which people always think is so fun (and it definitely is nice to work in your pj’s and bedhead), but sometimes at the end of the day I just want to get out of the house!
I will admit that I have slightly skewed TV watching tendencies. I love watching the Big Bang Theory, Sons of Anarchy, Arrow, the Flash, the Walking Dead, America Unearthed, the Curse of Oak Island, Undateable, the Voice, Empire, 2 Broke Girls, the Gilmore Girls, and more. Movies I love - Pitch Perfect, Center Stage, Center Stage: Turn it Up, Hitch, Phantom of the Opera, the Holiday, Fast and the Furious, and on and on. Music wise, I listen to a little bit of everything and it really depends on what mood I am and what I’m doing.
I love to read. I used to say I love reading anything and everything, but that is just simply not true, as I have learned. I love books like the Divergent series, the Matched series, and the Hunger Games series. I fell in love with the Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi. I find myself reading and rereading certain authors and series because the characters get stuck in my head. Some of my favorite reread authors are Rachel Schurig (LOVE HER!!!), Susan Mallery, Melissa Foster, Bella Andre, and Savannah Page. I feel like there are definitely books that you can always read and love and other books that you have to be in the right mood or right place to enjoy. Then again, there are also those books that you just aren’t that into - and it’s definitely not you, it’s the book - or maybe you, but whatever it is - there’s someone else out there who will love what you hate and hate what you love. That’s just human nature.
I don’t really like to read war, science fiction, political, foreign, or religious books, though as I say this, I can recall at least one book in each of these genres that I have enjoyed. I have tried to read the Game of Throne series, the Host, and the Ender's Game series and have not been able to get into them at all.
My reviews will be posted on Tuesday's. I can't wait to post and interact with you! Til next time -
Beth
