GET THE LOOK: MONICA BELLUCCI FOR D&G

I's been awhile since I have done a 'Get The Look' post and lately I have been so enamored with all things red, especially Monica Bellucci's ad for Dolce & Gabbana! I always think it is so fun to get inspired by a gorgeous look whether from an advertisement, runway, or red carpet and transfer it into real life. Just make sure you don't put too much pressure on yourself to have it EXACTLY the same. These people have teams of experts working on every angle from nails, hair, makeup, wardrobe to lighting, wind, and props. Be nice to yourself, but also DO be inspired to try a similar look.

I focused on three main areas when re-creating this look using products I already own. A romantic, shimmery eye, luxe red lips, and soft curls.

Step 1: The hair is very easy. Just curl your hair with a 1 inch curling iron, I use this one, and pin it up leaving a few curls hanging around your face. Let it be messy and carefree.

Step 2: Using Urban Decay 'Zephyr' highlight your brow bone and the inside corners of your eyes.
Step 3: Apply Too Faced eyeshadow in 'Push Up' for a soft shimmery brown eyeshadow base. Don't go too far above your crease, I aimed for crease and below.

Step 4: Using the same eyeshadow, run along bottom lid from outer corner to about 3/4 of the way in.
Step 5: Dip your blending brush in Too Faced 'Erotica' and blend just above your eyelid for a richer dimensional look. Blend away!

Step 6: Curl your eyelashes. I like to heat up my curler with my hair dryer for a few seconds before I curl them for extra oomph.
Step 7: Line your upper lid using MAC Fluidline Eyeliner in 'Blacktrack'. I did a thinner than normal line with a slight angled wing.

Step 8: Use Stila Stay All Day Waterproof eyeliner along the entire line for a crisper, darker line.

Step 9: Very sparingly, run an eyeliner pencil along your bottom lash line in you want to get a little extra definition. I used YSL Dessin du Regard waterproof eyeliner.

Step 10: Apply your mascara, I love this one.
Step 11: Apply some highlighter for a romantic glow. I swear by this highlighter.

Step 12: Now for the icing on the cake. I can't explain why, but doing the lips is my favorite part of makeup. I love how it always ties in a look. First line your lips with MAC 'Cherry' lip pencil. I only lined my top lip since my bottom lip is a little fuller, but I filled both top and bottom in with the pencil for a good base.
Step 13: Apply your luxe red. I am currently obsessing over the shade of Stila 'Beso' Stay All Day liquid lipstick. It's just such a rich, fun red.

And you are a real life version of Monica Bellucci from the D&G ad! Congratulations, you did it!!
