HOW TO RIPEN FRUIT // SPONSORED BY MCCORMICK

Few things are as delicious as a ripe piece of fruit. A juicy tomato, a sweet yet slightly tart peach, and of course, a creamy, rich avocado barely yielding to a spoon – all of these are the perks of picking a piece of fruit at the peak of its season. However, getting to the farmer’s market every week can be a challenge, and if you’re a black thumb like me, growing your own isn’t an option either. So if you get stuck with produce that’s not quite there yet, there are ways to speed up the ripening process.

A quick note though: the slower you let something ripen, typically the better the outcome. Also, some things a beyond ripening on the counter – like peaches in December. For more kitchen tips and tricks, check out www.mccormick.com
