Trying Out - Cognac and Black

I am so in love with my cognac or tan riding boots that I thought it was time to do a post about colours to wear it with. One of my favourite combos is tan and black and after being a life long 'brown-should-never-go-with-black' believer, I did not think I would ever say that. I read this wonderful post on Pinterest Told Me To about her love for brown and black - she has some wonderful examples of how brown boots instead of black can really lift the outfit.

My inspiration for today's outfit came from the talented and beautiful Merick @ Mericks Art; just one of many of her outfits I've saved to try I might add. I was given these lovely wooden tan beads and I can't that that lovely friend enough for her wardrobe cleanout, as they are perfect with these boots. I'm yet to try out leopard print with the boots but I'm sure that would be the perfect compliment! What's your favourite way to wear cognac or tan? Boots, bag, belt or love them all?
