Oh Drake, you really do love me for me!! If there was one line that got the entire female population on side with Drake, it would be the above.

On first listen, I wasn’t the biggest fan of this song, but the more I listened to it, the more it grew on me, and in the context of the album I realize that ‘So Far Gone’ needs this song. It’s a largely heavy and moody sounding album, and with ‘Best I Ever Had’ we get a much-needed burst of energy and a few silly/lighthearted raps to go with. I always crack up remembering dancing along to this song in the club, and one of my girlfriends exclaiming, ‘how mean would that be!?!!’ in response to the line, ‘my shirt ain’t got no stripes but I can make your pussy whiiiistle.’ Sure gurl, I guess that’d be pretty mean.
