Cape Season

If a coat and a blanket had a very chic baby, it would be this season’s “it” piece. Capes have hit the ground running this fall since the Burberry blanket cape came on strong on the scene this past fashion week. It’s a nice alternative to throwing a coat on when you’re heading out the door and it’s one that you don’t have to make a huge change to your wardrobe to make it work. All you need is a good pair of skinnies and a sleek pair of boots and the cape does all the high fashion effort for you. A lot of brands have put their own spin on the trend, making sleek options and cozier, sweater-like ones. You can find one that suits your taste if you’re a Kim Kardashian or if you’re more of a Zooey Deschanel.
