The Sweet Taste of Victory

This is when I can say that I am totally living a senior's life. For the past two weeks, I've been catching my breath on account of there was not a day that I was physically and mentally free to extent that even 1/3 of my sleeping hours was given up for the sake of the activities I was engaged in. This is no exaggeration because even my weekends were spent at school for rehearsals and college entrance exam reviews.

The first week of insane frazzle was due to the speech choir competition that was held in our school. After the exam week, we decided to spend our vacant hours at school to rehearse, which include the whole weekend. It all paid off because we bagged the champion award! Yay *throws confetti*

We were compelled to move on from the victory our section held because another activity took place the following week - election of the supreme student government officers. I ran in the position of secretary and I swear it was no joke to run because the miting de avance was good for two consecutive days. So the scenario turned out to be like this - my voice was still terribly hoarse due to the competition we just had, then two days right after, I had to speak in front of my fellow students for the campaign. That was cray to the zee! Water please! lol But kidding aside, that exhausted the hell out of me. Talk here and talk everywhere. But it, again, paid off when I began hearing good things from these kids telling me they’re gonna vote for me and my political party was the best. Good feedback is exactly equal to victory, I am telling you. And then, everything else started moving at its slowest state when the list of results was posted. I won the election and nothing could make me happier. But leaving three of my party members was such a heartbreak. It was bittersweet. These three were the best and I just couldn’t leave them behind.

The taste of victory is the sweetest when you, yourself, know that it is yours and only yours. It’s the sweetest when you don’t owe it to anyone else because it is the mere upshot of the seed you planted. However, there are times that it tastes bittersweet that you would want to give it up. It tastes bitter because you would have to leave people behind but sweet because you know that your progression doesn’t stand still.

My Persunmall package arrived one of the days last week when I didn't know anymore how to manage my frazzled nerves. I looked at it in a light that I can call a blessing in disguise because it was a major reason to smile.

This top is what I consider to be one of my fashion staples. Why should you have this? a) Since this top is made of chiffon, it is absolutely perfect for spring - just put on a summery skirt or shorts then you're good to go! b) Another thing is it can also be worn with a pair of pants and an outerwear like leather jacket during fall. The change of season does not always indicate the change of your closet and the entirety thereof because some pieces, like this top from Persunmall, can be kept and worn for the whole year round. c) This is the kind of top that you can always mix and match with a great deal of pieces and styles. Hence you can always wear it without letting other people know, provided that it is styled in such a way that people wouldn't care to notice that it was the self-same top you wore last week!

Statement necklace plays a huge role in adorning an outfit. It never fails to transform an otherwise simple outfit to dainty. I had mine in white from Persunmall and I love that it goes with almost every casual outfit. This is my favorite necklace so far!
